Not every part of Florida is a retirement haven. You can almost see the different regions of the state just by median age alone. Any surprises on where it is high and not so high? Full link

What is going on collier east of naples, reservations? Outdoor enthusiasts?
So the old folks all live on the coast? That tracks
how can therre be medians with 20-25 years and so on, isnt it tooo young?
Of course not everywhere in Florida is full of old people, it’s still a service economy for tourists and the medical industry, where young people can’t be too far from work.
Most of the zip codes are too small to see, and the big ones we can see are very low density areas that make the data less meaningful. You really come away not learning anything new looking at this map.
The only thing you can really predict is younger populations in more dense areas due to how people migrate within the state throughout their lives.
Ignores population density, that would put more nuance into the graphic
Old people like the beach.
