Israel’s treacherous attack on Iran, backed by the United States of America, is unacceptable to Belarus — as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Belarus Alireza Sanei on March 4th

Greeting the Iranian diplomat, the Belarusian leader noted that this meeting is not merely a courtesy call, “We are well-informed on what is happening in the Middle East, including in Iran, a friendly country to us. You are aware that Belarus has always been advocating peace and we still do. War is genetically unacceptable to us, because Belarus, having been caught in the epicentre of all wars, has come to truly understand the essence of these wars — we have lost millions and millions of our people in all the wars that have taken place in our region.”

The Belarusian leader added that every world war swept eastward and back over Belarus, which makes what is happening today clear to Belarusians, “For this reason, Israel’s treacherous attack on Iran, backed by the United States of America, is clear and unacceptable to us. All the more so because, in the wake of this attack, innocent civilians, and above all children, have been killed.”

“Iran’s Spiritual Leader, Ali Khamenei, has been killed. You know that I had a good relationship with him,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stated.

The President noted that he had met Ali Khamenei a number of times and discussed global developments with him.

“He’s a humanist, not a military person, committed to protecting his people and his country. That is why what happened to him, his family and, even worse, his wife, who died from her injuries, is absolutely unacceptable to me. Once again, please accept my condolences on the deaths of civilians, children and Ali Khamenei,” Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke of Iran’s Spiritual Leader.
