  1. Sorry to inform you that there is pretty good chance you will not feel “fit in” here too

  2. A fairly standard problem for children of immigrants who have not assimilated sufficiently in their new country.

  3. To needed 21 years? So you are like almost 40 now.

I don’t think “going back” is right phrase here.

  4. I have spent 6 years in UK since the age of 19; truely life in Poland is different; in grand scheme of things it is better here but I still get culture shocks even tho it was just 6 years in UK. It’s hard for me to assimilate back again.

  5. Good luck, don’t get discouraged when people don’t give a shit when you try to have a chat. Minding my own business is the default Polish face.

What made you decide to move back to Poland?

Genuinely curious. I would move to Poland if i could for my own reasons.

  7. Hey! So, listen – those guys in the comments who say you won’t fit here either are probably right, but it changes *nothing*. As long as you *want* to fit in here, you will. Just not right away.

You’re in for a bitter surprise. I’d spent merely my 3 first years abroad and even I don’t fit in Poland.

I never fit in the US for 47 years. I’ve been fitting in here for years since.

One can only fit in if they find the right work and leisure time environment for themselves you can have two completely different experiences in the same place depending on your circumstances. Sometimes, it is wise to move but it is also good to think about what you may want from life and what’s missing in your personal life.
