The AS Heavy Haulage joint venture has wrapped up its maiden delivery with the transport of a car body from Serbia to Germany.

The joint venture was established last year between Antwerp-based logistics specialist Aprojects and Serbia-headquartered logistics company Steftrans. The two firms intend to pool their strengths to create one coordinated entity for oversized cargo solutions across the region.

For its first assignment, AS Heavy Haulage loaded a car body – measuring 28 m x 3 m x 4.3 m – in Serbia, destined for Germany. Delays were caused by farmers’ protests in Serbia, but after navigating those the journey continues via Hungary and Austria toward Germany’s North Rhina Westphalia. Following delivery, the vehicle will return to Serbia immediately for its next shipment.

HLPFI reported in November that Murad Charyev had joined Aprojects.
