
2025 was another record-setting year for EU tourism, with nearly 3.1 billion nights spent in tourist accommodation establishments across the EU. This reflects a 2.2% increase, or 66.4 million more nights than in 2024.

Nights spent by international guests increased by 3.4% (+49.7 million), while nights spent by domestic guests increased by 1.1% (+16.7 million).
Most overnight stays, 61.7% of the EU total, took place in 4 EU countries: Spain (513.6 million), Italy (476.9 million), France (471.7 million) and Germany (442.1 million).
In contrast, the countries with the lowest figures for tourism nights were Luxembourg (3.6 million), Latvia (5.0 million) and Estonia (6.7 million).
