Another batch of generators, purchased under the charitable campaign “Heat for Ukraine”, has departed from the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine. The implementation of the initiative was provided by the National Congress of Ukrainians in Moldova (NCUM) in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine.
The campaign ran from January 29 to February 13, uniting Moldova’s civil society, business, and media. During the campaign, about 500 thousand lei were raised, which were used to purchase generators of various capacities. Moldova Fruct also donated seven units of equipment.
The energy equipment will be handed over to the State Institution “Center for Motherhood and Childhood of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” and to the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, to ensure the uninterrupted operation of medical facilities, schools, and other socially important objects in the region.
The Embassy of Ukraine expressed gratitude to NCUM and its head, Dmytro Lekartsev, for organizing the project. Logistical support and delivery of the cargo were provided by the company Nova Post Moldova led by Serhiy Shapran. The information campaign was supported by leading Moldovan media: TVR Moldova, Nokta, and Vocea Basarabiei.
“At a time when Russia continues to deliberately attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, such support is of utmost importance for ensuring the operation of hospitals, educational institutions, and other socially important facilities.”
