As part of cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, they plan to develop the infrastructure of strategically important hospitals, integrate incident-management algorithms, incorporate relevant competencies into training programs for medical professionals, and organize joint training exercises.

Recently, the Lithuanian government approved the updated National Security Strategy, which speaks of an existential threat to the country and to the entire Euro-Atlantic community from Russia.
