MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Grow NELA released its 2025 economic details Wednesday at the University of Louisiana Monroe’s president’s residence on campus.
In its State of the Regional Economy: 2025, the economic organization says it followed up on 74 business leads last year totaling nearly $40 billion in potential capital investment and 10,000 potential jobs. Officials said they already have 10 active prospects to start 2026, worth billions of dollars and hundreds of jobs.
The Meta Data Center in Richland Parish contributed to a nearly 20% of the growth in sales tax revenue in Ouachita Parish in October, according to Grow NELA.
The report also highlighted the importance of American Airlines’ new midmorning flight to and from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The first flights will begin on April 7.
