  1. Hmmm..

My head reads it as no limit on parking, but you can only park on game days between these hours….

    Yeah it’s shit lol.

  2. no limit on game days between noon and 7pm but outside that the 15 min traffic area parking limit applies.

I live close by the Gabba, same sign.

They enforce it as unlimited parking on any day when no game/show/whatever is on, but no street parking noon till 7pm.

Regular day park until your little heart is content. On a game day you can only park there between 12 & 7 rest assured BCC will fine you if you are still parked at 7:01

  5. I actually read it as no limit on event days 12-7pm, overriding the usual 15 min limit. The general idea is that these signs override the parking area restrictions.

You parked at Petrie Terrace State school on a game night and now have a ticket. The whole zone is 15 minutes on game day and the zone trumps the sign unfortunately. Contest it. Council is often fair for genuine mistakes.

  7. How is that possibly how you read it? Nowhere on the sign does it say anything about a parking restriction. Rather, it implies a restriction outside those parameters.

“Parking with no limit between 1200 and 1900 on event days – applies to either side of the sign”.

  8. It’s no limit to allow for teachers on weekday games not getting a fine during this time that are parked near the school – it’s only on the school side of road .

Source – was a parent at school and part of pandc for many years – reccomend parking at the school to help thier fundraising if you can.

I would think it means you can park here whenever with no limit but on event days it’s 12-7 only
I dunno tho, half these signs I have no idea what they’re meaning.

  10. the fact that no one in the comments has the same interpretation as another is stressing me out

If you parked there for a night footy game, I bet you got fined. Night games start at 7 😆

I see you also got done by the BCC parking inspectors around Suncorp Stadium OP.

  13. I read it as

There is no limit to how long you park

Between the hours of 12 noon – 7pm

    On event days only

Outside of event days, and between midnight-noon and 7pm-midnight ON event days, this sign is irrelevant.

  14. An extra couple of words could remove all chance of ambiguity from this sign. It’s pretty poor form from council.

You read it poorly … park here between 12-7 but then be gone if there’s an event on
