      Edit: why not try and support this operation against the Iranian regime to end it as fast as possible, and topple this authoritarian and extremist regime in Iran and take out a key ally of Russia and China? Thus weakening Russia and then doubling down on Russia afterwards?

      Funny that he is taking this stance.
      In his position I would have rather opened up the pop corn and enjoyed watching the ruling coalition struggle under the economical strain while delivering snide remarks on the side, Statler & Waldorf style.
      But I may be too much of a cynics.

      So because we have terrorists in our countries, we should stay passive…. Thats a similar story as Italy under maffia rule in the 70ies. They managed to root out that evil by hard repression, hunting them down, and massive arrests.

      Clear who is the coward. He rather let the Iranian people suffer under a repressing regime responsible for a multitude of deaths vs Gaza.

      Ashamed that we have such people representing our country.

      I hope the coalition is able to turn the tide for the Iranian people and finally bring secularism in stead of those lunatics.

      I agree we shouldn’t follow Trump in a war which is not even approved by the American people, it hasn’t passed congress, only 20% of Americans approve. Then in that case we shouldn’t join the illegality of it all, especially if it means code red for terrorism for the next 4 years.

      That being said, politicians are hypocrites who also wouldn’t send the military to aid Ukraine when invaded by Russia, so yeah sending troops into Iran would be a very strange double standard.

      We shouldn’t interfere in Iran ofcourse.
      But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t help to defend Cyprus as a European partner, or lend help to the UAE.
