The first group of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who were in transit in the United Arab Emirates due to the conflict in the Middle East landed at Sarajevo International Airport on Thursday evening.

We are talking about a total of 156 passengers – citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who were in transit when the conflicts started, but also those who had a planned return to Sarajevo in the coming days.

Touching moments of meeting with families and loved ones were recorded at the Sarajevo airport – there were tears, hugs and smiles after several days of uncertainty.

Let us remind you that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, stated after the session of the BiH Council of Ministers that funds in the amount of 800,000 BAM were approved from the current reserve for organizing the return of BiH citizens from endangered areas of the Middle East.
