    [UPDATE] STOLEN DOG in South Yarra – CCTV of SUSPECTS

    Hi r/melbourne, just a follow up on my last post. Dora (Black Cavoodle) was stolen from outside the Como Centre/Vogue Centre on Chapel St at 3:24 PM, Monday, March 9.

    The police have procured footage of the suspects and have given us permission to share it now. They were last seen walking towards Richmond

    How you can help:

    1. Identify the individuals: If you recognize these people, please let us know via the contact details below.
    2. Extra Footage:
      • Were you driving in South Yarra (esp Chapel St, Malcolm St, or Church St – heading toward Richmond) between 3:20 PM and 3:45 PM today? Please check your cam footage.
      • If you live in Richmond near the South Yarra border, please check your home security/Ring doorbells.

    Again, we are offering a REWARD for her safe return.

      That distinctive black can of drink will be cold and recently bought by tap and pay within a 3 minute walk of that cctv.

      They’ll dump the dog so make sure you keep checking local council pounds etc.

      Pop this on local south yarra and surrounds facebook pages too. Perhaps visit the shops in the area and see of they have better footage or if someone paid by card.
      Email them too so they might action in their own time.

      If i was a shop owner i would look this stuff up on my cameras if i had a good timeframe and check salrs records. Many wont but i love dogs.

      The thought of this happening to my dog makes me want to vomit. I hope Dora is okay and that they find her soon.

      As a long term resident of Richmond (several addresses) and a once short term resident of an upscale crackhouse in Prahran, these guys look much more likely to be from South Yarra Housing Estate than anywhere in Richmond. I can just hear the sounds of men mumble-talking and women regularly shrieking, and laughing at their own incomprehensible conversations and street antics.
