'Bad' Fine Dust Levels to Hit Seoul, Gangwon Province Wednesday

The Seoul metro area and parts of Gangwon Province will be exposed to high levels of fine dust on Wednesday.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, fine dust concentrations are set to reach “bad” levels for Seoul and the surrounding regions, as well as western inland areas in Gangwon Province, parts of North Chungcheong Province and North Gyeongsang Province. 

For fine particulate matter, a concentration of 36 to 75 micrograms per cubic meter is considered “bad.”

Morning low temperatures will range from minus four and four degrees Celsius, similar to Tuesday’s readings, with daytime highs peaking between seven and 13 degrees.

Seoul will see morning lows drop to zero before warming up to nine degrees in the afternoon.
