Hello!

When I stopped by Virši for coffee yesterday, I was offered to fill out a form to switch to their electricity offer. The next day they called me and asked who my current supplier is. I have Latvian Railways (LDz).

Overall, I have no particular complaints against them, but if Virshi offered a cheaper price, why not switch. However, I was told over the phone that I cannot leave LDz because they have “their own connections”.

But I found information on the LDz website that in the territory where LDz provides distribution, the customer can also choose other electricity traders, and that they have contracts with several traders (including Virši).

That’s why I have a question – does anyone have experience with switching from LDz to another dealer? And does it even make sense to switch?

In the picture, my last LDz invoice is attached.

UPDATE: Looks like they actually have a private connection. I see the following error on the Elektrum website: "DSO provider of this object is not AS Sadales tīkls". I didn’t know that it could be in Riga at all.

    2. bruh, 43.35 pa 126 kWh is psc daudz. Es būtu samaksājis ~32 eur pēc pēdējām cenām.

    3. Tev pieslēgums ir caur sadales tīklu vai caur LDz pa taisno pie kādas no viņu apakšstacijām?
