Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, república dominicana, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Cuba, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Ecuador. And many others and I’m being downvoted for a fact? Spain is not innocent of the genocide it has caused to my native land, it’s just been many years since the invasions. Just to clarify: This is a typical temporary measure during a diplomatic disagreement and happens frequently. Israel had already withdrawn its ambassador. This does not mean Spain has ceased to have formal diplomatic relations with Israel. “Permanent” is almost never permanent, but means that particular ambassador can be reassigned.
I’m not taking a position on this issue but just seeking to clarify some misconceptions within the comments.
