23-year-old from Kosovo arrested after trying to steal a van in Vlora!

A 23-year-old man from Kosovo has been arrested in Vlora after attempting to steal a van.

The blue uniforms indicate that the 23-year-old was caught on 10.03.2026, around the early hours of the morning, in the “24 Maji” neighborhood, while attempting to steal a van-type vehicle.

During the physical search, a cold weapon (knife) was also found and seized as material evidence.

Police announcement:

A 23-year-old man from Kosovo was arrested in the act of attempting to steal a van in Vlora. During the physical search, a cold weapon (knife) was found on him, which was seized as material evidence.

As a result of the rapid response and continuous work to prevent and solve cases of theft, as well as to capture their perpetrators, specialists from the Crime Investigation Section at the Vlora Police Commissariat made it possible to arrest in flagrante delicto citizen GP, ??23 years old, resident of Peja, Kosovo.

This citizen was caught on 10.03.2026, around the early hours of the morning, in the “24 Maji” neighborhood, while he was attempting to steal a van. The immediate intervention of the Police services made it possible to catch him red-handed and prevent the theft.

During the personal search, the Police services found and seized a cutting tool (knife) as material evidence.

From the investigative actions carried out, it results that the same citizen is suspected of being the author of another theft, which occurred on 06.03.2026, where a sum of money was taken from a bar in the “10 Korriku” neighborhood, in the city of Vlora.

The police continue to work to fully document this event and to verify the involvement of this citizen in other theft cases. The procedural materials were referred to the Vlora Prosecutor’s Office for the criminal offenses of “Theft” and “Unlicensed Possession of Cold Weapons”.
