MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Franklin Primary Health hosted its annual Buskey Gala on Thursday to mark 51 years of service to southwest Alabama.

The event brought together community leaders, health care advocates and supporters at the Mobile Convention Center. Rep. Shomari Figures was the featured speaker.

FOX10 anchor Lenise Ligon emceed the event.

Franklin Primary Health operates 20 locations across six counties and serves thousands of patients every year, regardless of ability to pay.

Proceeds from the gala support mobile health units, expanded access to care and other programs.
