There’s none. There is no situation in which this is good for US or its citizens. If you get oil at $200 you don’t “make money” like Donnie says, it results in demand destruction.
Understand, if for example oil hits $200, jet fuel costs triple from where they were last year. This causes many airlines especially the budget ones to completely shut down operations resulting in layoffs of workers, who in turn don’t drive to work, don’t buy as many things as they used to and end up relying on their spouses or unemployment checks for support. Also, fewer passengers on airports, fewer visitors to the stores on the airports, resulting in more lay offs, you see how it spirals? Hence demand destruction.
