She was never viewed as trustworthy for the older generations in Japan. They saw through her act. The younger generation however is unable to and heavily support her

**“her character is not trustworthy“ and the water is wet.**
Why the younger generation was so uninformed is completely beyond me. People 50+ have all known about her various “character flaws” (to put it mildly). Throwing fits, telling lies in the Diet, putting blame on others, shifting blame on her subordinates etc.

but her character was trustworthy enough to get a super majority in last election. suddenly afterwards, she is not trustworthy?! it sounds there are some forces trying to weaken her position.

The reason for approval was like “I feel some expectations from her(but there are no tangible achievements in her 30+ years of politician carreir)”. So, more people realised that the expectations were illusions.
The price that those who supported it and the public will have to pay in the future will be a heavy one.

Really?! A lying liar who repeatedly says one thing but does the opposite thing is not trustworthy??
I am shocked! Shocked, I say!

People finally realize she has no plans. She used obnoxious foreigners a stepping stone into pm, she has no plans for deportations like the people thought infact she plans to get 1 million more foreign workers before 2028, she’s probably gonna drag Japan into a war they have no reason to be in, and she gave the us 500 billion dollars while happily getting tariffed by the USA, and apparently ties to bad organization but that’s not anything new for politicians

She was voted because other candidates were worse. It’s as simple as that.

I can’t understand how she got elected. I know very little about Japanese politics and even I know she’s just awful. So many backwards beliefs.

And much quicker than expected, too.

The fact that Japan keep bowing on Trump’s demands with nothing in return (and I think he just told Japan to defend themselves despite our local taxes are used to cover 70% of their operational cost in Japan). Also the fact Yen is keep falling, yea Japanese can be naives but not stupid

according to surveys asking what was the main reason why people cast their vote for her, was because she was the first female PM and it was …..cool ( around 80% of respondents ) now asking those same people is they agreed with her policies …. well , 70% were disapproving ….

Japan needs a real swamp drain. Too many politicians, they do nothing. Voters are politically illiterate.
