South Korean historical drama “The King’s Warden” has surpassed 13 million admissions after becoming the first film in two years to reach the ten million mark.
Distributor Showbox said Sunday on social media that the film’s cumulative audience exceeded 13 million as of 9 a.m.
The movie now ranks 11th among the highest‑grossing films released in South Korea.
With only a narrow gap remaining with “The Host,” which drew 13-point-01 million viewers and currently holds the No. 10 spot, the film is expected to enter the top 10 later in the day.
It has also become the eighth most-watched South Korean film of all time.
Released on February 4, the movie surpassed ten million viewers on March 6 and crossed the 12 million mark on Wednesday.
