Does anyone know what this mystery hot meat is? Two mark down stickers can't be a good sign.

That looks like it belongs in a bin, how the hell are they still trying to sell this.

It a roast beef and they’re supposed to cut it out of the packet before selling it. Regardless if it’s marked down it’s been sitting there all day and it’ll be nasty and dry.
Source: worked Coles deli for 4 years.

  3. My guess is their roast beef. The colour and the original price match, but it’s missing the handbag packaging

  4. Hot Roast beef, likely the only packaging they had available. The inside pack is for the actual cooking, similar process to Sous Vide

should’ve been removed from sale with a cook time of 8:37am

The first letter states with H, so probably was Hot Beef – in a previous life. They would have to pay me the $11 to take it away and incinerate it.

The reason I quite coles and switched to woolies is becaue of their meat.

I got one “steak” taht appeared to be four different pieces of meat glued together.

The edges were only a couple of mills tick, yet it was about 4 cm thick in the centre. The meat had noticeably different colours. When cooked the different colours persisted!

I tried eating it (I am unemployed and desperate) and it was inedible. I threw it out and from then on witched to woolies. Congratulations on however much money you saved on your trash meat, coles. I’ve spent the last five years ordering from woollies instead (I am old and disabled. I don;t even have a car)

Yea as others said, it’s the hot roast beef. That bag usually sits inside another bag, similar to bbq chicken bags. But it’s obviously missing.

Oh and the beef is really nice. Usually around $16 from memory.

  8. Looks like the hot roast beef – It’s usually in the “blue” BBQ chicken style bag but inside that is the clear plastic one in your photo. It looks disgusting but is actually really delicious.
