Rhodes is right: you can’t spend four years calling the administration an ‘existential threat to democracy’ and then hand that same administration a blank check to start a regime-change war in Iran. If ‘democracy’ and ‘human rights’ are your core values, you don’t vote to fund the bombing of Isfahan and Shiraz. This isn’t just about foreign policy; it’s about whether the Democratic party actually stands for anything other than ‘not being Trump.’ Primaries are the only way to ensure the party doesn’t just become GOP-Lite on national security.
The irony is that the same Democrats who are terrified of the Schedule F purge just voted to give the President total war powers. They are literally funding the distraction that the White House is using to dismantle the civil service at home. Rhodes is pointing out the ultimate hypocrisy: you can’t claim to be protecting our institutions while you’re helping the executive branch bypass Congress to prosecute a war of choice. If they won’t stand against ‘Epic Fury,’ they won’t stand against anything else this administration does.

I have a bit of different take here. I don’t care about Iran or Israel for that matter. Neither have a governmemt I can support, and their history is questionable. I’ll support voting out supporters of these two countries.

Well sir in a shocking twist, they in fact stand for nothing. From my seat watching this insanity unfold not a single politician has a spine, moral compass, or any kind of decency beyond taking care of them and theirs.
A fair stance to take for most of humanity to be sure, but not when you’re governing the so called “free world”.
Politics is a grift. Overwhelmingly, these people are just there to get their bag.
The free world should absolutely be killing dictators and toppling dictatorial regimes. Why tolerate bullies lording it over others? Kill em’ all. Trump’s got this one right at least. Doesn’t matter to me that this administration is doing it for other reasons. The Iranian regime should never have been tolerated. Neither should lots of regimes around the world. War only hasn’t historically been the answer to deposing dictators because it’s other bullies at the helms of nations who’d need to be doing the toppling.
