Well done to the crew. Fire in the cabin, even a small one, has to be one of the worst case scenarios they prep for.
Vapes should be banned in general but especially on planes. Good work to the crew getting through what would have been a really scary situation

Everybody here saying ban them is silly, they aren’t legal here in Australia for the most part(you can get a script from a gp to get one from a pharmacy but why would anyone in they’reright mind get a script for nicotine, i personally advocate for personal autonomy and educationto make the right decisions)
They need to be legal and they need to be regulated, I’d happily pay a bit more for my vapes for the peace of mind that it is at least more regulated than what we have now. How do I know what’s in them? Why are dodgy batteries being used? Is the wick actual cotton or am I getting a plastic or asbestos wick? This is the real shit that needs to be sorted, not just this ban them bullshit rhetoric of addressing the symptoms and not the cause of this issue.
Australia is getting worse by the day with how we run this country and then we complain about the revenue lost to unregulated nicotine distribution, which is in the billions…….money that is then recouped through other methods right out of our pockets. This whole fiasco is ridiculous

I am guessingthe person who owned the vape didn’t have a prescription. If so they should be prosecuted/fined.
