Damascus, March 16 (SANA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement today expressing the Syrian Arab Republic’s full solidarity with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia following the devastating floods that recently swept through the country. The disaster has resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries, alongside extensive damage to private property and national infrastructure.
The Ministry extended its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the victims and all those affected by this painful natural disaster. The statement further expressed Syria’s hope that the competent Ethiopian authorities will successfully contain the repercussions of the floods and provide the necessary relief to the impacted regions.
