Fake news. Inflation is constant and roughly the same globally. She’s only just taken office so if AVERAGE annual income is roughly thr same as 30 years ago – she is not responsible.

Whoever wrote that article hates her.

Don’t take everything msm throws at you as fact.

  2. The wage stagnation is DEFINITELY a massive issue – which the J-politicians COLLECTIVELY keep sweeping under the rug.

Tobacco is such a weird product to highlight because a lot of the price difference is due to excise taxes Japan has put on it over the years. 30 years ago the only tax on cigarettes was the basic sales tax. One of the first culture shocks I got when I first came to Japan in 2003 was how cheap cigarettes were compared to America at the time, mostly due to the fact that there were a lot of taxes in America at that time but none in Japan.

  4. she (LDP) is doing all this on purpose. her goal is to raise tax, spend more money on military projects and lower the standard of living. all going well for her. she also wants to get rid of imperial family of japan.

    Why not compare rice price?
    Cigarette price is irrelevant

I thought she will cancel the food tax?

I did not see her do anything after the “sweeping victory”

Well, other than prepare the visit to her master

Speaking as a physician, cigarette prices can go 5 times higher and I won’t give a fuck.

Ciggies are spending cash to buy themselves emphysema and lung cancer, good for them!
