This doesn’t look like less drug use, just different drug use. When one drops and others rise at the same time, it says more about shifting preferences than actual progress.

This feels like one of the biggest downgrades in history.

Basically the kids have swapped love, empathy and shared experiences for aggression, individualism and sedation.

Makes sense if you think about it. Nobody goes out anymore and night clubs are going out of business. MDMA isnt really a fun drug to take when you’re sitting at home.

  4. So instead of the beautiful love feeling, you get the knocked out zombie feeling. Or someone on coke talking your ear off with nonsense. Stupid choice. If you want to chillax, smoke some weed, instead of sedatives and opiates.

  5. They need to mass legalize weed in EU, man.
I know, you know and they know a lot of people smoke it and it is helluva better than any of the amphetamines or whatever names they got.
Healthier than freaking alcohol and cigs for sure.

  6. Don’t partake anymore but I always found mdma really volatile in terms of supply chains so eventually I stopped bothering because I would often be sold shite that was either barely mdma or not mdma at all. Coke/Ket and the mephedrone became the alternatives people gravitated toward due ti reliable availability and consistent strength.

So this news doesn’t surprise me at all

  7. Hoe about 3mmc (which likely really is 3cmc)? Do they even test on this? I notice it’s very popular with kids. It’s also cheap at €30 and feels like a mixture of cocaine and mdma

Feels less like “people are getting better/worse” and more like habits just shifting.

MDMA dropping probably says something about nightlife or supply, while cocaine and ketamine rising fits with stress, money, and people looking for different kinds of escape.

The data shows *what* is changing, but not really *why,* and that part is usually more about life than drugs.

    >The highest loads of MDMA were found in cities located in Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands, while the highest levels of ketamine in wastewaters were monitored in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. […]
    >Wastewater data show that cocaine use remains higher in western and southern Europe, such as in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain.

Dutch and Belgian people love their drugs.

This may just be what i see in my direct surrounding (berlin) but use of mdma seems to be replaced with 4mmc use.

Not a big fan of the ketamine situation. Cocaine is at least natural and plant derived.

  12. People acting like this is terrible. In the case of cocaine, yes probably. But ketamine is much safer than alcohol, no neurotoxcicity, no lethal dose, can have very large benefits for neuroinflammation, depression and neuroplasticity. That’s not to say it doesnt have big risks, as any hard drugs & alcohol does, and addiction is nasty, but it doesnt have to be as bad as people make it out to be, its better than alcohol at the very least, and far safer than mdma per use. But I do agree mdma has its place too and is much more meaningful than ket or cocaine or alcohol etc.

  13. Happy to help the numbers if I could get my self some but it’s not exactly publicly available
