The news: Packaging manufacturer Orora has appointed Paul Victor as the company’s chief financial officer, succeeding Shaun Hughes, effective 4 November 2026.

The context: Prior to this, Victor served as chief financial officer of Mainland Group, a business of Fonterra, and held senior leadership roles at Sasol and Incitec Pivot. He brings more than three decades of experience in strategic and financial leadership roles.

Shaun Hughes will leave Orora after six years to relocate to France, having overseen the company’s financial and commercial division.

What they said: “During his time with Orora, (Hughes) has played a critical leadership role not only guiding our global finance function and navigating global market pressures, but also in the significant transformation of Orora, including the acquisition of Saverglass,” Orora CEO Brian Lowe said.
