BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Ivan Shishkov is the top-of-the-list candidate of Progressive Bulgaria for Vratsa’s 6th multi-member constituency, the coalition’s press service said here Thursday. The list has 12 candidates, a reference on the website of the Constituency Election Commission shows.

Shishkov is 62 years old and is an established expert in architecture, urban planning and public administration. From 2022 to 2023, he served as Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, having previously been a deputy minister and adviser in the same ministry. His professional biography includes 24 years of experience as chief architect of Dragoman Municipality and of the Bankya and Triaditsa boroughs of Sofia Municipality.

He currently works as an independent architect. He holds a master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia. He completed his secondary education at the Hristo Botev Technical School of Construction in Sofia, specializing as a construction technician. He is married.
