“I would like for this to be x, but there isn’t enough evidence”

“We have a few theories, but need to study more”

Such a welcome article to read in the modern day, science rules. No hyperbole, no nonsense, just “here’s a cool thing we know next to nothing about, but can’t wait to learn more”

We actually do have some leading theories just this year the main one being unique black holes that were formed during the Big Bang!! Super interesting literature to read about!

  3. Rather than black holes surrounded by hydrogen, what if they’re white holes spewing hydrogen into the universe? We currently believe there is “dark matter” becauase we cant account for the mass our calculations say there should be. What if instead of some exotic form of matter we only think exists we have all of these previously unknown objects spewing hydrogen everywhere. Im no scientist and am pulling this out of my ass, but seems like those are the only explanations we have for them so far so why not join the party?

  4. I didnt see any serious replied. But the theory is we are looking at galaxies only hundreds of millions of years after the big bang, which is way earlier than it was postulated to have happened. Because we are looking super far off, we are effectively looking back in time.

This isn’t something they’re going to come back later and realize it was just some artifact or defect caused by JWST itself right?

  6. It’s good with this stupid news article, you want to make sure everyone on reddit is informed about this. Stop it, seriously.
