Home Invest Belgium completes thorough renovation of the Charles Woeste building in Brussels

Brussels, 19 March 2026 – Home Invest Belgium (“HOMI”), the Belgian listed market leader in the leasing of residential property, has completed the thorough renovation of 92 residential rental units in Brussels (Jette).

    CHARLES WOESTE: A THOROUGH RENOVATION

In 2025, HOMI started a thorough renovation of the Charles Woeste building. Located in Brussels (Jette), the building consists of 92 rental units and 30 parking spaces. The building has been part of HOMI’s property portfolio for over 20 years.

After two decades of strong letting performance, the building was in need of an upgrade, both in terms of energy efficiency and tenant comfort. The flats were fully renovated with a focus on modern living standards, sustainability and functionality.

Through this project, HOMI is making a positive social impact. With the completion of 92 rental properties, HOMI is helping to address the massive shortage in the Brussels rental market, where demand for high-quality and sustainable rental properties far exceeds supply.

    FOCUS ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY

During the renovation of Charles Woeste, particular attention was paid to sustainability and energy efficiency. The average primary energy consumption of the units has been reduced by 29% to 86 kWh/m²/year.

With this project, Home Invest Belgium is actively contributing to its objective of reducing the average primary energy consumption of its residential portfolio to less than 100 kWh/m²/year by the end of 2026. By way of comparison, the average energy consumption of the residential

market in the Brussels-Capital Region is approximately 254 kWh/m²/year.1 Only 19% of the market is below 150 kWh/m²/year and only 7% of the market is below 95 kWh/m²/year.2

    GOOD COMMERCIAL START

The building has only just been delivered and 35 apartments (38% of the apartments) have already been let. This confirms the high demand for quality rental properties.
