It may sound silly, but this old man is leading the world first military power. And he is having an imperialist military craze. The local population elected him and doesn’t seem in a hurry to replace him, so we have to deal with him. Perhaps until he dies.
If a few weeks of world peace depends on giving him a Nobel peace price, perhaps it’s not stupid from our side to give it. It’s geopolitics. The peace price value may drop even more, but its worth it in my opinion.
