Although the minimum wage in Kosovo for full-time workers was supposed to be 425 euros as of January, there are still workers who are paid less than that. At least, that’s what representatives of technical and private sector workers say. Legal experts warn of consequences.

Despite the fact that January and February salaries should have increased, there are still workers who are being paid less than 425 euros, even though they work full-time.

At least that’s what their representatives say.

Business representatives say they have not opposed raising the minimum wage, but that the wage should be escalated so as not to harm businesses.

According to legal experts, the government’s decision is binding and may have consequences for those who do not comply with it.

It is estimated that over 130 full-time workers will directly benefit from the increase in the minimum wage.

From July, the minimum wage will increase to 500 euros gross. /RTK
