  1. Hard to imagine this being a genuine mistake. Two separate seats, plus looks like they’re hand filled in?

Expected One Nation behaviour but I can’t imagine the electoral commission will be pleased.

The $5,000 fine listed as a potential penalty in the article seems very lenient.

Even incompetent or ineffective attempted election tampering feels like it should be a ‘time in jail’ offence.

    >According to the Electoral Commission of South Australia, distributing a how-to-vote card not substantially the same as the one lodged with it carries a fine of up to $5,000.

the fact there’s nothing aside from a fine is definiyely questionable, suggests someone with enough money could simply pay the fee to influence an election

  4. I’m confused. What’s wrong with filling out “how to vote” cards?

I understand there’s something wrong with filling out BALLOTS…

One Nation subverting the electoral process. Who could possibly have imagined such a thing?

It’s the most disingenuous political party in the history of the country and so many people are suckered by them being the “real deal” because Pauline hasn’t been to university and that.

  7. Actual electoral fraud, these clowns really do wanna Trump up the place, dont they. Sigh.

  8. I initially read this as “Sexual Assault (SA) One Nation volunteers” and didn’t question it because it is so close to reality

I’m sure the cookers will be outraged at the attempt to rig the election… oh wait wrong party.

Everyday its hard to guess if Pauline id going back to prison or dancing with the stars

  11. Oh look it’s the election fraud that’ll no doubt come up after the next elections results…

  12. Personally, I think HTV cards should be banned completely.

Having said that, it’s a particularly stupid idea (for One Nation) to only put their candidate as “1” on the HTV. As far as I know, SA doesn’t have optional preferences. Which means all boxes must be numbered.

How many One Nation voters could cast a valid vote without following the HTV card?

I cannot wait for my next opportunity to vote in a federal (or perhaps state) election.

I’ll be asking the ON harassers to explain why they’re working for a literal rapist (national campaign manager).

It’s nice of them to look into it when a major party complains, I tried reporting problems with soliciting at the only entrance to a polling place and the piles of how to vote and promotional pamphlets left in every booth last year.

They just told me to talk with the site supervisor next time, weren’t interested at all.
