The owner of Gurnee Mills mall announced that multiple new stores and entertainment options, including IKEA, will be opening at the shopping mall over the next several months.
Simon Property Group said in a statement that it was “eager to announce” that Gurnee Mills, the largest outlet and retail shopping center in the state, would be adding four new retailers.
Those include IKEA, AJ’s Putt ‘N’ Play, Mida K-Beauty and Sky Zone.
IKEA will provide 66,000 square feet of home inspiration and solutions for customers to explore.

The store will showcase more than 5,000 products in room settings tailored to reflect the needs and styles of the Chicagoland community, as well as full planning services to help create customers’ dream kitchens, wardrobes, living room storage and more.
It will offer 3,000 items available for immediate pickup, including home furnishing accessories and small furniture, along with access to the full IKEA range with delivery or free store pickup as soon as the next day.
IKEA is set to open in the fall in Parking Lot B next to Hobby Lobby.

Sky Zone is the originator of the trampoline park and advertises itself as a leader in indoor active entertainment designed for families.
It offers a variety of attractions that inspire active play and create lasting memories, according to the company.
The new location will also feature multiple private party rooms for hosting celebrations and a Fuel Zone where jumpers can recharge with food and refreshments. It will open this summer near Entry J.
Mida K-Beauty advertises itself as a one-stop shop for all things Korean beauty, skincare and health products. It is opening in April near Center Court.
The new stores add to the nearly 200 outlet, value and full-line retailers already at the shopping center. “These additions support the property’s commitment to continuing center enhancements for its customers,” the Simon Property Group said.
