Avi has no chance to win back lost ridings like mine (largely rural), frankly. Simply too ‘activist’ and his priorities are too diffuse. We’re labour, through and through. The rest is off-putting, honestly.

It has been so weird watching this unfold over the past several years. Predictably, the spectacular crash under Singh. The infighting about the right ‘direction’ for the party. Gazan and their ilk, etc.

Disunity, via purity test. McPherson was 100% right to call it out, the best thing she could have done as a prospective leader. I’m not represented by the NDP because I don’t tick 100% of some ideologue’s boxes. The last thing we need are more fucking boxes…

To think about what could have been had the party chose Angus over Singh is to realize the true magnitude of the decline. Oh, well, here we are. And, so it goes.

Oh, yeah, in before ‘what about all those “gains” under Singh’. Anybody could have extracted them with king-making leverage over the Liberals. I’m immensely disappointed he didn’t get more. He got played and outclassed.

Anyhow, just my $.02. What do I know? Or them? Or those guys over there? Or the choir of progressive voices who have predicted this obvious outcome for years upon fucking years?

  2. I don’t get why they continue to treat Rob Ashton as a serious candidate, and not just lump in with the other 2 also rans. His vote share on the first ballot will be so low that he can’t win. The same thing happened in the UCP leadership with Brian Jean, and it was obvious then too.

Excellent news, the NDP will move farther left, thereby eliminating themselves as a viable ruling party and vastly increasing the number of seats in parliament that arent theirs. Looking forward to having neoliberal rule under a 2 party system for the next 2 decades. Some competent opposition leaders would really be cool any time now.

More like the race to the bottom to find who is the last lunatic standing… am suprised to say this that Mc Pherson comes across the most measured sensible voice in the room. My god some of these fellows are soo out ot lunch.

  5. I am really torn do I want to see Lewis win and take the NDP down even further or do I want someone else who could actually regain some loses and have them split the NDP and LPC vote so maybe we could actually get someone other than the LPC to win
