The European Union Ambassador to Kosovo, Aivo Orav, has described the March 14 agreement as an important step that proves that it is possible to achieve concrete results through dialogue and cooperation.

“The March 14th agreement is extraordinary… it showed that it is possible to negotiate and achieve something,” Orav declared.

According to him, this agreement is the result of a process where both sides have made compromises, not winning everything, but achieving progress.

“Both sides had to give up something and not win everything,” he emphasized.

Orav assessed that this agreement has created a new momentum to move forward, not only in relations between Kosovo and the EU, but also in the broader dialogue process.

“This is a great achievement and shows that it is possible to move forward in dialogue,” said the ambassador.

He added that the focus should now be on its implementation, emphasizing that this is the key element for the success of the agreement.

“Now it is a matter of implementation – how the parties will implement it,” Orav stated, writes Telegrafi.

The EU Ambassador announced that the March 14 agreement is not part of the classic Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, but a separate process that nevertheless gives positive signals.

“This agreement was not a dialogue agreement… but it shows that if there is goodwill, it is possible to move forward,” he said.

Orav explained that the agreement relates to the implementation of the law on foreigners and practical issues on the ground, including documentation and the functioning of institutions in the north.

He described this as a positive development that helps avoid tensions and creates conditions for stability.

“Now even the population in the north sees that it is possible to move forward and solve problems,” he emphasized, writes the Telegraph.
