I used FlightAware data to track every private jet movement in and out of Augusta Regional Airport (KAGS) and Daniel Field (KDNL) during the 2025 Masters Tournament (April 4–15).

Key stats:

  • 3,856 flights from 1,211 unique aircraft
  • Peak day was Friday April 11 with 772 flights — nearly one landing or takeoff every 2 minutes
  • Practice round days (Apr 4–9): 945 flights. Tournament days (Apr 10–13): 2,243 flights
  • The Thursday–Friday surge is corporate hospitality arriving; Sunday afternoon is the mass exodus

The visualization is an interactive 3D flight tracker built with deck.gl and MapLibre. You can play back the entire tournament week in fast-forward, scrub the timeline, and see each aircraft's path. It includes a Masters event timeline (practice rounds through final putt) so you can see how flight activity maps to the tournament schedule.

  1. Aspirational1 on

A fairly clear demonstration of the wealth divide.

Most have to make a choice about what streaming apps to subscribe to, to see the stuff they want.

Others just jump into their private jet, and watch whatever it is that they’re after.

The ‘ land of opportunity for all’ is a slogan with no meaning.

  2. I’m upvoting because the data actually looks interesting. Too many bar charts and line charts on this sub.
