Romania, who will host the A National Football Team in the FIFA World Cup play-off semi-final match, suffered a shock injury. LaLiga team Celta Vigo announced that Romania National Team’s main goalkeeper Andrei Radu has been injured. It is a matter of curiosity who will play in the match against Turkey instead of Andrei Radu, who is injured in the Romanian National Team. Romania will host the Turkish National Football Team on Thursday, March 26.

Radu’s performance for the 2025-26 season

The 28-year-old goalkeeper has made a total of 39 appearances in all competitions with Spanish LaLiga side Celta Vigo this season. Andrei Radu has kept a clean sheet in 10 of those 39 appearances. The experienced goalkeeper has seven caps for the Romanian national team.

Who are Radu’s backups?

The injured Andrei Radu’s backups are 26-year-old Rapid Bucharest goalkeeper Marian Aionai and 29-year-old Arges Pitesti goalkeeper Catalin Cabuz. It remains to be seen how experienced coach Mircea Lucescu will find a solution.
