Kim reaffirmed Pyongyang’s hostile policy toward its southern neighbor during the first session of the 15th Supreme People’s Assembly on Monday, according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency(KCNA).
The agency, however, did not mention whether an amendment to the North’s Constitution recognized the Koreas as “two hostile states.”
Kim pledged to further solidify the regime’s status as a nuclear state and to aggressively fight “hostile forces.”
The regime’s leader accused the United States of enabling terrorism and invading countries around the world, in an apparent reference to the war in Iran, but did not directly criticize U.S. President Donald Trump.
