A Kosovo Police operation in Pristina has led to the arrest of one of Denmark’s most wanted men. Liridon Fetahi, suspected of involvement in two murder cases and ties to a Danish criminal gang.
The arrest was made on March 23 in the capital, following an operational field operation. The action involved the “FAST Kosovo” unit, law enforcement and the Rapid Reaction Unit, in a coordinated intervention that ended without incident.
According to official sources, Fetahi was internationally wanted on the basis of a “Red Notice” issued by INTERPOL in Denmark, a signal used for persons suspected of serious crimes.
The two incidents for which he was wanted date back to 2020. In April, a person was shot dead in a public parking lot. In November, another shooting left three people injured, two of whom died. According to data from ENFAST and INTERPOL, he was considered one of the most wanted people in Denmark and is suspected of being part of an organized crime group.
Sources from the investigation indicate that the authorities in Kosovo are in constant contact with the Danish side for further procedures, while the case is being handled by the Special Prosecution Office.
The capture of the contract killer is seen by the media as a blow to criminal networks operating across borders and another case of international cooperation in the fight against organized crime.
