Is that gun mounted on the plane or fully hand held?? I assume mounted, just seems unusual the way he’s holding the barrel. I thought the gun would just be held by the stock / grips at the back, and pivoted around at the place it’s mounted.

They need to get some Boulton Paul Defiants out of British museums. Those fighters looked like Huurricane but had a four gun turret in the back.
