Japan has world-class medical care? You guys good at many things but I don’t think medical care is one of them.

Surely this is a joke? Japan does not have world-class medical care.

Compared to Europe it’s not good at all to be honest. Turkey was one of the best I have experienced so far. They only capitalize on Americans… 🤦♂️

Thailand, Malaysia, and Korea are all far bigger medical tourism destinations nearby. This article is wishful thinking

Five-year survival rates for stomach cancer: Japan 65%, China 33.5%, the United States 33%, and Europe/Western countries 25%. These figures are based on the highest available numbers reported in each country’s statistics.

I remember when I went to Korea seeing that Incheon Airport has a whole medical tourism section of the airport. That actually fascinated me. I want to go back to Korea, only was there a few days.

Oh yes, I just love having geriatric Japanese doctors downplay all my symptoms and tell me I have a cold when I’ve had tonsillitis many times before and know what it’s like.
It’s only when my tonsils looked they were covered in cottage cheese that a young woman doctor took me seriously.

I’ve lived in fifteen countries worldwide. Japan’s medical system is definitely NOT world class. I’ve had better medical treatment in the darkest depths of Africa….. seriously.
Japanese doctors lack crucial knowledge….. even basic knowledge at times.

This made me laugh. I still remember being in horrible pain at a Japanese hospital, while the doctor was arguing with my school asking why didn’t they check me properly before coming to Japan, like I was some kind of damaged goods.

Medical tourism with no insurance and 200mg amoxicillin! People might be crazy about Sakura treatment.
