Debris from a Russian drone landed in the NATO nation Romania following an attack on neighboring Ukraine on Thursday, Romania’s ministry of national defense said.
The ministry said that Russian carried out a series of drone attacks on civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine close to the border with Romania in Tulcea County.
Two F-16 fighter jets were deployed at around 00.16 a.m. local time from the 86th Air Base in Borcea, it said.
The ministry added that one drone was diverted by Ukrainian air defenses and entered Romanian airspace, before crashing around 1.2 miles from the town of Parches in an uninhabited area.

This is a breaking story. More to follow.
