FWIW, both are NOT good. Imbalance in population age brings a lot of issues, both too young and too old.
OP saw Africa + Japan and instantly looked up visual assets that look like they belong in ‘The Lion King’ and ‘Samurai Jack’.
The Japanese has one of the highest life expectancies in the world. That definitely skews the average.
This looks like a population explosion vs an extinction event.
