The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received the Turkish ambassador, Sabri Tunc Angılı, in a meeting this Friday.
The Presidency of Kosovo revealed details from the meeting, where various topics were discussed, including diplomacy, defense, and the upcoming match between Kosovo and Turkey.
During the meeting, Osmani expressed gratitude for Turkey’s continuous support to Kosovo in the fields of defense and diplomacy. Regarding the match, both sides expressed the wish that the encounter be characterized by sportsmanship and mutual respect.
“A special thanks was addressed to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his commitment to Kosovo, as well as to Ambassador Angılı and the Turkish Embassy for their ongoing engagement and support. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership in the interest of peace, stability and development.
At the end of the meeting, the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers match between Kosovo and Turkey was also mentioned, with the shared wish that the encounter be marked by sportsmanship and mutual respect,” the Presidency said.
