This is a very nice Dutch program about the problem of glare from cyclists.
If you have a really strong front light, it may be worth doing a quick test in complete darkness: ask someone (not a random passer-by) to hold your bike with the light on. Stand about 10 meters in front of the bike and look straight into the light.
I often see cyclists on paths who have never done such a test. Their lamps shine so brightly that they sometimes illuminate the tops of trees dozens of meters away. They don’t seem to care about people from across the street – as long as they have clarity in front of them. If you see someone’s face in the dark, that person is practically blinded and definitely feels very uncomfortable.
A well-adjusted light should illuminate the road ahead, but should not shine into anyone’s eyes. If you can see the face of the person across from you, your light is not properly adjusted.
Spring is coming and warmer evenings for riding – let’s take care of each other after dark.
