  1. Hiding out in a shipping container on his property.

Yeah, bro was getting help from people.

    Anyhoo, what’s for dinner tonight?

  2. Going to be very interesting to see the details come out in the coming weeks about how he managed this for so long.

It will be very interesting to see what the police tactics were to get to him.

Good riddance. The families of the officers shot can now move on with their lives as this brings closure, if not justice.

Can’t believe he was still staying local though. The property he was staying on had to have been somebody that was sympathetic to the guy.

Hiding in a container on someone else’s property, I wonder if someone dobbed him in?

Now drag off every supporter and sympathiser that was clearly helping with this through the courts and off to prison for decades like the terrorists they are.

  6. They should have just snuck up and locked the door

Im genuinely surprised he was even still alive

  7. Wild to think someone was probably sheltering him.
I thought he’d be dead in a mineshaft or something. You’d have to think the people who were sheltering him are shitting themselves too (as they should be).

Great news. There’s no way he survived this long without assistance so hopefully there are serious consequences for those who helped him.

  9. Remember this guy was a self-proclaimed “Sovereign Citizen”.

Cookers must be in a shambles.

  10. I remember people saying like a week after he went missing that he couldn’t possibly still be alive. As if he was in fucking Antarctica.

  11. I wonder if the multiple times police said they are “now looking for a body” and consider him deceased was just to take the heat off in the hopes he’d show up.

Well they were either going to find him or he was already dead.

The people that helped him need to be held accountable. How much fucking money has this dropkick and his moron friends cost the state.

This was not the headline I expected to see today. I’d be fascinated to know where he was that whole time but I’m also glad that the community now don’t have to fear his presence.

  15. I remember it wasn’t too long ago the word from police, after using that accoustic equipment to try and trace a reported gunshot, was that they believed he was deceased.

I wonder if it was a tricky tactic to make him complacent?

Either way, glad there’s some closure for the families of victims.

Please let’s start calling him by his real name, Desmond Filby, not the cooker name he created.

His brother was in my class in school and I must admit I laughed mercilessly behind their back about their names, but I no longer feel bad about it.
