Not exactly a new thing. That’s always the argument for restricting freedoms.
No shit.
“Think of the children” has always been a red flag.
It was always about this, We know because you have a wealthy global elite paedophile ring and nothing is being done to them. These laws are being brought in so they can’t shut down any dissent before it begins to grow and organise.
A lot of people don’t know about this still, the more it is talked about the more information spreads
vdL tried that when she was minister for families under Merkel
The agenda behind this is very clear. If we look at the lobbyists behind the voting that took place on the 26th we find European Digital Rights, CCIA, Doteurope, Google, Microsoft, Snapchat, X/ Twitter.
Not a single organization lobbying for children’s safety.
5+ organizations lobbying for more data from users so they can sell more ads.
Thats how Putin did it
There’s real tension here, protecting kids is important,but it’s easy for that to be used to justify broader control if safeguards aren’t clear.
