Driven by a commitment to those who served, VA has announced the winners of the 2025 Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Patient Experience (PX) Awards, honoring VA medical centers and health care systems nationwide that deliver exceptional, Veteran‑centered care. These top‑performing facilities set the standard for putting Veterans first by building trust, improving access and consistently providing outstanding patient experiences.
VA honored six facilities for excellence across key PX categories based on feedback directly from Veterans regarding trust, communication, access, emotional support, care coordination and overall satisfaction.

- VHA Best PX Experience – Facility Complexity Level 2 – Texas Valley Coastal Bend Healthcare System, Harlingen, Texas.
- VHA Best PX Experience – Facility Complexity Level 3 – Erie VA Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
- VHA Most Improved PX Experience – Inpatient – Wilkes‑Barre VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
- VHA Most Improved PX Experience – Outpatient – Fresno VA Medical Center, Fresno, Calif.

The 2025 PX Awards winners achieved high rankings by consistently demonstrating excellence and implementing ongoing improvements designed to meet the needs and expectations of Veterans and their families. Notably, patient experience scores account for 22% of the overall Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Star Ratings.
