Slovenia antitrust sees competition risks from Telemach-T-2 merger

The Slovenian Agency for Protection of Competition (AVK) has launched an in-depth investigation into the proposed merger between Telemach Slovenija and T-2, citing serious concerns about its compliance with competition rules. A primary concern is the already highly concentrated mobile telephony market, where Telemach is the second-largest operator and T-2 is fourth. Their merger would reduce the number of major mobile network operators to just three, potentially leading to increased retail prices and reduce
